The Prophets is a fascinating seven-part series investigating the historic Māori prophets of Aotearoa (New Zealand).

Hosted by Anglican Priest and historian Reverend Hirini Kaa (son of the late Dr Hone Kaa), this series explores the history of the Māori prophets from Dr Kaa’s perspective.

An incredible part of New Zealand’s history, the Māori prophets rose to prominence in times of great change.

The prophets represented a spiritual paradigm shift and personified the Māori peoples’ response to colonisation.

Some of the stories are of reconciliation and peace, while others are tales soaked in blood.
