Statistically Māori boys are three times more likely to leave school with no formal qualifications than non-Maori boys.

But can a school, that many would consider a throwback to more conservative times, really be embraced by young Māori men in 2013? Can they make a difference to these boys so they will not be a part of the disappointing statistics of tomorrow?
